Welcome to Eastwood Junior Hockey Club(EJHC). 

EJHC is affilated to scottish-hockey.  EJHC plays its home fixtures at the MacTaggart Mickel Millenium Park in Newton Mearns, which is located within East Refrewshire Council to the south of Glasgow City.

Eastwood Junior Hockey Club is open to anyone from absolute beginner to experienced player, so if you want to try hockey out as a sport or are looking to advance the skills you have gained at school or elsewhere, then please come along and try.

The club has several teams in the following age groups under 10's, under 12's and under 14's.  Children access the club following initial coaching sessions provided in various centres throughout East Renfrewshire Council.  The teams participate in outdoor and indoor fixtures at district level. 

The prime objective of this club is to promote hockey as a sport for youth.  While we hope that our teams are successful, we feel that it is more important that they enjoy the game.  With a qualified coach, we encourage kids to play hockey in a safe and friendly environment. We welcome parents to all training and competitions and value your support.

Playing equipment such as sticks and balls are provided.  Your child will need to provide his/her own playing kit and trainers, including warm clothing (e.g. tracksuit, sweatshirt, jogging pants etc.). Players must wear shin pads and gum shields for training and matches. Players should provide any refreshments they need (water etc.). Jewellery and watches must not be worn when playing.
